TÜV-certified – Medical Helpline Worldwide receives official endorsement

Medical Helpline Worldwide GmbH (MHW) has received DIN ISO 9001:2015 certification for its quality management system from TÜV Süd.

A wide range of processes are audited – from corporate management down to the actual implementation of customer-specific services. Our main services, such as the telemedical service offered by our hotline physicians and the emergency management procedures, are carefully examined on a regular basis.

Medical Helpline Worldwide is best known for its aqua med brand and the certification backs up the company's claim to provide the best service possible to divers and travellers.

As the first "diver emergency helpline" to receive certification, MHW can now extend its lead in terms of quality and reinforce its standing within the international market.

But just what is ISO 9001:2015 certification?

Nationally and internationally, the ISO 9001 quality management standard is the most widespread and significant quality management (QM) standard. Companies and organisations of all sizes in all sectors can be certified to ISO 9001. It forms the basis for the ongoing process of improving a company's internal management system.

What does the certification mean for aqua med customers?

One of the main targets in adopting ISO 9001:2015 is the customer satisfaction. By systematically asking our customers how satisfied they are with our services, we are able to feed the results back into our decision-making process.

In the field of medical assistance, it is crucial that all processes and steps work smoothly together in an emergency and that the different areas of responsibility are clearly defined – ensuring that customers obtain the best emergency management possible.

With MHW supporting them, customers can rest assured that all processes – from medical advice and calls to the aqua med emergency hotline through to coverage of costs – will be carried out in a professional and structured manner.

Marco Röschmann, CEO and Medical Head: "Ever since the company was founded in 2001 we have always attached maximum importance to quality and safety - factors which our entire business model is based upon. The promise of high quality that we make to our customers has now been objectively assessed."

Sven Aumann, CEO: "Our goal is to provide our customers with first class quality".

Heike Farwick, MHW's Quality Management Officer: "Taking care of people in emergency situations - that's what our company is all about. But that can only work if you have a committed and highly motivated staff. Without such extraordinary commitment, we would not have gained the certification. The clearly structured and transparent processes also generate a high level of employee satisfaction which in turn has a direct positive impact on our customers."
